DIY Project #1 & #2

Of course we haven't finished unpacking all of our boxes or hanging anything up on the walls, but I do have a few pictures from a couple of projects that we've started!

Project #1-
Backstory- The original laundry area in the house was downstairs in between the kitchen and dining room.  However, when our house was renovated, they moved the washer and dryer upstairs to a closet that they converted.  I had the brilliant idea of making the old laundry nook into our home office!

  This project is definitely far from completion, but I figured by posting this, I may get some good feedback with ideas for the space.  I'm thinking shelves...and trying to make the old water fixture fit in and look like it's just a vintage piece. Let me know if you have ideas!

Project # 2-
Painting the kitchen!  After living here for almost 5 months, we've realized that the color selection is somewhat...blah.  So, we've decided to slowly start painting and adding our style to make it feel like home.

I'm so excited that our plants are doing well.  We had an awful hail storm about a month ago and quite a few of our plants only had one or two leaves that survived! I'll keep try to update again in a few weeks with their progress!

I know, I know.  I'm absolutely awful at this blogging business.  No wonder scrapbooks and journals have never been my strength...
